We have been made aware that older Amazon Fire TV devices are no longer compatible with the latest version of X3M Player.
Amazon has classed certain Firesticks as end-of-life, meaning they no longer receive Fire OS or security updates. This is similar to how older phones and computers eventually stop supporting newer apps or updates.
As a result, some applications, including X3M Player, may no longer open or function correctly.
This is a device limitation for Fire OS builds under v7, which is outside our control. Other major streaming providers, such as Netflix, have also begun ending support for older Fire TV models, confirming this is part of Amazon’s normal product lifecycle and will be rolling out to all devices outside of those that do not recieve updates any further.
Amazon is currently offering customers the option to trade in or recycle outdated Fire TV devices through their official program: Amazon Trade-In Program.
If customers wish to upgrade to a newer device, please open a ticket with a new playlist code and we can update your subscription. There is always an option of using an alternative app, but we must warn that even those will become end-of-life soon also.
